I'm going to use my car for business. Should I let my agent know? Yes. You should also inform your agent if you move, buy a new vehicle, change marital status, or your children begin to drive.

If my car is stolen, does an auto policy cover household or personal property in the vehicle? You need a separate homeowners, renters, condominium or mobile-home owners policy to cover items against theft.

What is covered if there is damage to my car? Collision coverage would pay for the damage on your car minus any deductible, regardless of who caused the accident.

What if the other person’s car or property is damaged? Your property damage liability coverage would pay for repairs or to replace, up to the liability limit you purchased.

If an animal hits may car, what kind of insurance covers the damage? Comprehensive coverage would pay for any damage not related to a collision, such as contact with an animal, vandalism, fire or other hazards.

What happens if someone gets hurt in my car and the other person’s car? If you are liable, your bodily injury liability coverage would pay for the other person’s claims of injury, up to your limit.  Your medical expense or personal injury protection would pay for initial, minor medical expense, no matter who is of fault in the accident.

Is there coverage that helps me when I am in an accident with an uninsured motorist or someone who doesn’t have enough insurance?  Uninsured and Under-insured coverage would protect you and your passengers for bodily injury.  In some states, property damage may also be included.

What are some of the ways I can control the cost of my insurance?  By choosing a higher deductible and be willing to pay more up front when a claim occurs, you can lower the cost of collision or comprehensive coverage. Having a claim-free driving record during the policy period also helps.

What should I do if I am involved in an accident? Remain at the scene and do not admit fault.  Call the police to report the accident. Exchange information with the other driver, including name, address, license number and insurance information.  Do not discuss the accident with anyone other than the police and your claims representative. Call your insurance representative as soon as practical.

What is a “limited tort” option? You give up your right to sue for non-economic damages (“pain and suffering”), except in cases of major injury.  Serious injury exceptions could include death, serious disfigurement or body function impairment.

Does a homeowners policy cover my motorcycle and ATV when they are stored in my garage when a loss occurs?  The only motorized vehicle covered by this type of policy for fire or theft is a lawn tractor.

If I lose a valuable stone out of a ring while working in my garden, does my homeowners policy cover the loss? No, but a "jewelry floater" can be added to your homeowners, renters, condominium or mobile-home policy.

What qualifies my vehicle for auto collectors insurance?
Requirements vary from state to state, but generally the vehicle cannot be used as a primary vehicle and must be stored in a fully enclosed, locked garage.  It must be driven by an experienced driver with a good driving record.  The vehicle also must be in restored condition and appreciating in value.

I have a motorcycle and a snowmobile. Can accessories like my helmets, safety gear and trailers be covered? Yes.
Accessories are covered for their non-depreciated replacements cost. Safety riding apparel, including helmets, and transport trailers can also be covered.

How do I file a claim as a Craig Agency customer? During business hours, you can contact our agency. You can also call the claim number listed on your insurance card. Contact information for each insurance company used by the Craig Agency is listed on the Claims page. After business hours, you should contact the number on your card or on the Claims page.

Can I get insurance for my business to cover money I lose because of damage to my property or equipment? Loss of income coverage provides protection of your income in the event of a covered loss.  This coverage is especially important for small-to-mid-sized companies.

How can I protect my business from lawsuits generated from within and without my company? Packages can be designed to protect your business from employee suits, customer claims, and non-customer claims. It is also important to take measures to prevent claims. Your business should invest the time and resources in consulting experts in the field of loss control, general safety, workplace safety, and workforce management available through our a
